Cheryl is a fully qualified clinical nutritionist, with a passion for preventative, integrative, complementary medicine.

Cheryl practices from a holistic point of view, and treatment involves first and foremost identifying and addressing factors in an individual’s lifestyle and diet which might cause symptoms, or increase a person’s risk for disease in the future. She believes that education is key to empowering a person to take responsibility for all aspects of their health and well being, and educating people to make the best choices for them is part of the journey you'll embark on together.

What we are passionate about

Nutritional medicine is an evidence-based study of nutrients, as found in natural food sources and artificial supplements, and their action on all aspects if the biochemistry of the body. How nutrients (and therefore foods) affect the onset, progression and prevention of disease is key.

While nutritional medicine looks at a detailed level at the action of nutrients as described above, it is also based on naturopathic principles and takes a holistic view of health and well being, examining the relationship between diet, lifestyle and health. It is an approach that recognises that no one part of the human body or mind operates in isolation. Factors that are considered in a holistic nutritional medicine approach to health include environmental stressors and toxins, physical and emotional stressors as well as genetic factors.


Brain Health

Brain cells require certain nutrients to keep them healthy and fight off attack from environmental toxins and endotoxins. Part of keeping your brain healthy is minimising the risk of cognitive impairment and dementia as we age. Nutrtition pays a vital role in keeping the brain healthy.


A healthy immune system is key to preventing cancer; and nutritional status is important in minimising the side effects of cancer treatment. Nutrition and lifestyle factors play a pivotal role in keeping the immune system functioning at optimal levels.

Healthy Aging

As we age, our nutritional requirements change to meet the changing needs of the body. It is important to understand what is required to keep the body healthy as we age, and to prevent or delay the onset of diseases typically associated with ageing.


Epigenetics is the study of factors affecting our genes. Our genetic makeup is inherited from our parents, but this does not mean that we have to follow in the health footsteps of our parents. Environmental, nutritional and lifestyle factors all affect our genes and determine whether they will be expressed or not: our genetic profile does not determine who we are, instead we largely determine how our genes will influence our health, through our actions and choices.
